Managing Partner, Viola Partners
Eylon Penchas is the Managing Partner of Viola Partners, a private equity capital fund that is an affiliate of the Viola Group since 2000. The Viola Group is Israel’s largest growth equity and venture capital group with approximately $2.5 billion under management. Mr. Penchas has over 20 years of private equity investment experience. Before that he was the Director of Business Development of Bezeq, The Israeli Telecommunications Corporation, and an analyst covering the Israeli industry at the Central Bank of Israel.
Mr. Penchas received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Hebrew University in 1996, and an MBA specializing in finance and marketing from the HU in 1999. Mr. Penchas has served on the boards of several public and private companies in Israel, including, amongst others, being Active Chairman of Peninsula Finance Ltd. from 2009-2015, a publicly traded non-banking finance company specializing in the debt financing of small-medium companies in the Israeli market; a board member of Global Data Center Ltd., a leading Israeli based data-center company, and Lumenis Ltd. – the world’s leading laser based medical device company (traded on NASDAQ and later sold to a PE firm). Mr. Penchas completed his service (1987-1992) as a combatant and officer in an elite intelligence unit, IDF, with the rank of Captain.
Mr. Penchas is active in philanthropy as a Director of the Hand-in-Hand Foundation, of the Seed by Tourism Foundation and as the Active Chairman of the Keren Natan Seed Fund (financing first time entrepreneurs).
